Forgotten Treasures

So as most of your know my mom just moved into her new house a few months ago. We're still unpacking and I'm sure we'll be doing it til kingdom come!! But the great thing about going through everything is you discover little treasures you've forgotten about. For instance this little treasure.... I grew up listening to the music all the time, and I remember listening to the cd so much that we ruined it and couldn't listen to it anymore. Many a times at Aimee and Steve Takasaki's house you would find a group of us singing the songs as well. So with the mems flodding back I sat down at my mom's piano and started playing it again. This is the only musical I have seen 3 times and I've never gotten sick of it. There's just something about the music that I can't get enough of.
To make life even better I discovered on Youtube that someone had posted the whole 10 year anniversary concert. OMG can we talk about amazing!!! No, no, PHENOMENAL this concert is! Such talented people. So in honor of a musical that I grew up listening to and love so much I would like to share some of my favorite songs from that very concert.
On My Own- Such a sad song and the way Lea Salonga sings it makes you want to rip your heart out and never feel again!!! (I'm not dramatic or anything!) As a side note some of you may be interested in knowing that this lady is the singing voice of Princess Jasmine! yes yes that's right A WHOLE NEW WORLD!!!!

A Heart Full of Love- A sad tale about longing to be loved by the man you love and the happiness of discovering love for the first time. I feel so bad for Eponine!! On a happier note Cosette (the lady in the black dress) she is the singing voice of Pochantas! You're thinking right "You think I'm an ignorant savage!" Yes that Pochantas!!
Bring Him Home- If you don't find yourself drying your eyes after listening to this amazing song then you have no heart! Nuff said! Listen and you'll understand what I mean!

One Day More- I listened to this one today actually and I got chills!! Such power and appreciation for their voices!
Castle on a Cloud- this song is one I hold close to my heart and has a lot of meaning because when I was little my dad would set me on his lap and tell me to sing this song to him. *tear* So I can't help but love it!

I've always been grateful for music. It's always been something that has been a huge part of my life. I'm glad that I came back into contact with a love from my childhood. And if you're able you should definitely go on Youtube and watch the many other clips from this amazing show! Songs like "Stars", "A Little Fall of Rain", "Who Am I?", "Master of the House" etc they are all just incredible!!
As if it couldn't get any better I heard that the show is going on our again for the 25th Anniversary!! You can be sure that I will be in line for those tickets! That's for sure!
